Two Faces of the Desert: Riyam & Wahiba Experience Training

New Hayma, Al Wusta Governorate
Experience Hosted By ABCDe

7 hours - Hosted in English , Arabic

What you'll do

Riyam Desert lies near Muscat, blending golden sands with rocky hills and coastal scenery. It is a popular spot for hiking, short desert treks, and camping with views of the mountains and the sea. Because of its close location to the city, it is ideal for quick getaways, photography, and easy desert adventures without traveling far.

Wahiba Sands is one of Oman’s most famous deserts, stretching across vast golden dunes for hundreds of kilometers. Known for its dramatic landscapes, it offers thrilling dune bashing, camel rides, sandboarding, and overnight stays in Bedouin-style camps. Visitors can also experience traditional Omani hospitality with desert families. It is a true desert adventure, more challenging and immersive than Riyam Desert.
